Malone Family Health
HOLT Architects partnered with Family Health Network, a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC), to design a new outpatient primary care medical office building in Malone, New York. The facility was conceived to serve a diverse and growing patient population, with a particular emphasis on pediatric and obstetric care, and includes 18 exam rooms to support expanded access to services. Designed in full compliance with Article 28 requirements, the building elevates the standard of care for this historically underserved region. The design prioritizes a welcoming, patient-centered environment that supports comfort, efficiency, and high-quality care delivery for both patients and staff.
The 13,550-square-foot facility was carefully planned to reflect a residential-scale medical office building that integrates seamlessly into the surrounding Malone community while maintaining strong connections to the adjacent local hospital. The design emphasizes access to natural light and views for both patients and clinical staff, smaller and more efficient waiting areas, and streamlined check-in and check-out processes to improve operational flow and patient experience. Flexible planning strategies were incorporated to support future growth and evolving healthcare needs, ensuring the building can adapt to changes in service delivery and community demand.
