Cortland Medical Office Building

The Cayuga Medical Associates (CMA) goal is to provide exemplary patient care through an outstanding group of primary care and specialty physicians who are passionate about health care and committed to their patients and the community as a whole. Their physicians work as a team with experienced nurse practitioners, physician assistants, and staff to provide easily accessible, patient-focused care in a welcoming and comfortable setting.

The 21,100 sf Medical Office Building in Cortland, NY, was a partnership between the primary tenant, Cayuga Medical Associates, and developer The Marchuska Brothers. The vision was to create a central location for the growing primary and specialty care services in Cortland to be consolidated under one roof and establish a new outpatient laboratory to support multiple practices.

The completed medical office building utilizes simple forms to meld into the surrounding neighborhood. It includes a spacious and light-filled patient arrival and waiting area shared by all providers, a precise and efficient clinical core designed to promote collaboration across treatment disciplines, and flexibility to accommodate change. The design utilizes two separate circulation areas for patients and providers for greater treatment efficiency.
