Athletics Renovation

Corning Community College’s head coach’s suite and locker rooms generate a strong culture of pride in the Red Barons athletics program. The newly renovated space establishes a prominent and well-branded “front-door” to the competitive athletic program. It provides a bright and energetic home for the Corning Community College Athletics Department, celebrates the rich history and competitive opportunities available in CCC Athletics, and plays a role in campus recruiting.

The design locates the athletic department suite directly off the lobby and creates a clear destination for students entering the building. The space creates a true community between the athletes and coaches. The department offices provide a balance of private and open offices for coaches and meeting spaces, welcoming current and prospective players with an engaging reception area.

The main locker/bathrooms are also located directly adjacent to the lobby for public access during events. Home team locker rooms, visiting team locker rooms, and fitness center locker rooms are located further down the corridor, easily accessed from the court or fields on the other side of the building. The multipurpose room is strategically located to be readily accessible to all team spaces.

This newly renovated suite creates a clear and inviting destination, provides various spaces for interaction, and marks a true “home” for campus athletics.
