New Veterinary Clinic

When Dr. Nicole Seda-Boone DMV, MPH, wanted to open her own veterinary clinic in southeast Idaho, she looked for a team that could bring her industry knowledge, design expertise and creativity. She hired HOLT Architects and a veterinary business consultant based in Colorado to collaborate and develop the best possible clinic flow for her clients and staff in compliance with the latest American Animal Hospital Association (AAHA) design guidelines.

The resulting new Eagle Rock Veterinary Clinic focuses on providing animal care services with integrity and heart in a warm, welcoming and modern environment. The plan features an on-stage/off-stage approach with exam rooms on one side of the main corridor and back-of-house spaces on the opposite side with a ring of circulation through the animal treatment areas. This allows staff to easily visualize and physically monitor their more acute patients in treatment while maintaining quick access as needed to the four spacious exam rooms for wellness exams and check-ups.

The treatment suite features a state-of-the-art animal surgery room and multiple stations for dental work, X-ray’s, minor procedures and post-operative care. The space houses stainless steel wall cages for small species, a three-kennel dog run and separate isolation room for sick or contagious animals plus plenty of storage for medications, food, supplies and equipment. Dr. Seda-Boone specializes in the care of exotic animals and is also the veterinarian on-call for the Idaho Falls Zoo and the Eastern Idaho Aquarium, so a unique warm-room was designed specifically for the boarding and care of birds, reptiles and amphibians at her practice.

All interior finishes were chosen to be durable, warm, pet-safe and environmentally responsible wherever possible. We were thrilled to work with Nicole and to help support all her furry, feathered and scaled clients and their families.
