PROJECT SIZE :
Using soft colors and forms suggestive of water, the HOLT design created a relaxing personal atmosphere for dialysis patients who may typically sit for hours at a time with several visits a week. Located on an upper floor in a converted inpatient unit dating from the 1970s, the open design placed twelve patient stations along the southern perimeter to capitalize on sunny open valley views. Individual stations provide complete privacy with personalized amenities while maintaining a direct visual connection for the adjacent nursing staff. Private patient storage, flexible seating, individual video monitors, and personal lighting and window shade controls let patients take charge of their own space. Reception, at the front end of the Center, includes a convenient, bright family waiting room with comfort amenities and a home training education suite.
